Hi I’m Becky, and I’m a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide & Ranger leader and have been for about 8 years.
I was a contingent leader in 2014 at Norjam and also took the Guides & Rangers to Essex International Jamboree in 2016, so thought I’d try Norjam as staff this time!
I’m really looking forward to meeting lots of people at Norjam and helping where I can.
I love music and especially going to gigs and most of my favourite artists were born in the 60s, so the era of musical genius is the best place for me!
Hi I’m Gill, and I’m a Beaver leader, and one of the many ASL’s at 46th Norwich (special needs unit) I have been involved with scouts for the last 14 years, ASL to GSL, Norfolk County Young Leader Manager.
I was an assistant contingent leader at the WSJ in Japan (Unit 74,CHoSeN ) in 2015, and I was a Deputy Sub Camp Leader at Norjam 2014. I’m really looking forward to meeting friends old and new from around the world.
I’m a 60’s child myself and enjoy all aspects of scouting and I’m always willing to help were and when I can. I’m not too bad at peeling spuds and can make a mug of tea, so come and meet me at the subcamp office so I can show off my tea making skills!
Hi, I’m Josh I am Assistant Cub Scout Leader and a media team member in Somerset. I’ve just received my Wood \beads in the last year to be fully qualified. I’ve been in scouting
since I was 8 years old.
I will be your 60s media representative for NORJAM 2018 and will be dealing with all the latest news from across the jamboree to promote on social media, Jam FM and in the daily newspaper.
If you have any important or exciting news that you would like to share from your scout / guide groups or if you have any special request for birthday shout outs then please contact me to get them all in the NORJAM 60s media.
Finally I will be wearing a red hi vis on our sub camp so if you need to ask me anything thought media then you should not miss me! I will also be meeting each group during the week.
Trevor, along with Deputy Subcamp Leaders Becky & Gill, will be leading the team that will be looking after you on the 60s Subcamp.
Josh will be working with the Jamboree Media team to make sure that stories from 60’s camp are included in daily newspapers, on JamFM (Norjam2018 Radio), on social media and in external press coverage, so make sure you have a chat with him if there are any stories you think should be covered.
Janet will be looking after our International contingents, Nick will be our health & Safety co-ordinator, whilst Marc will be your first aid contact for emergencies. Jennie, Caz & Rochelle have been busy planning subcamp activities should you find a few minutes without something to do. Sarah is looking after our admin needs and Lindy will be ensuring the subcamp team are well fed!
Most of the Subcamp Team are Scouters & Guiders from Norfolk, with many being just around the corner from the Jamboree site. We’re also joined by Scouters and Guiders from further afield, including Wales, Somerset & Yorkshire! Our team members have a wide variety of roles, ranging from Guide Leaders to Explorer Scouts, Section Assistants to Deputy County Commissioners so we’ve got plenty of experience and knowledge to help with any queries or problems that you may have.
