Arrivals Map

How It Works

How you arrive at Norjam will depend on who you are and and how you’re arriving. Click an option below for more details:

Parents and guardians are not allowed into the main Jamboree site and do not require a parking permit.

Before 1pm:

You will be directed towards the Easton Gate to drop your young person off in our drop-off zone, marked in navy.

Leaders will need to collect your young person from the A marked on the arrivals map.

After 1pm:

After 1pm, the drop-off point changes to allow us to set up activities on the navy drop-off site.

You will be directed towards the afternoon drop-off zone that is marked in purple.

Leaders need to collect your young person from the Main Gate, marked as B on the arrivals map.

Young people will be responsible for bringing their personal kit onto site themselves.

Please contact your leader if you have any questions and do not ring the Showground.

Your arrival:

If arriving and parking your own vehicle onsite, you will need a Contingent (C) parking permit displayed when arriving.

Adult number is your booking reference or contingent ID.

If you are coming on-site with group kit for camping areas, please read the kit drop off section a bit further down.

Where to collect young people:

Young people arriving on-site before 1pm will be directed to the navy drop-off zone. The collection point is marked with an A on the arrivals map.

Young people arriving after 1pm will be directed to the afternoon purple drop-off zone. The collection point is the main gate marked as B on the arrivals map.

Contingent leaders need to tell parents/guardians of a suitable time for participants to arrive on site, allowing enough time for the contingent leader to register their arrival with the administration team.

Registration:

One leader (or two for bigger contingents) will need to book in and collect all the ID bracelets, neckers and other contingent information. Remember to bring all your registration forms in hand too.

Bring your registration forms in three batches – one batch of personal information forms, one batch of activity permission forms PLUS a second batch of activity permission forms as a copy. Please keep these in separate batches.

We recommend sending leaders to do this as soon as you arrive, and arranging for your young people to arrive a few hours later so there are no delays getting them on-site.

One leader MUST check in with the subcamp team, who will guide you to your pitch.

You will be directed onto site to unload, then eventually be pointed to the main car park marked on the arrivals map in purple.

You will need a Staff (S) parking permit displayed to be able to do this.

Pre-booked vehicles, such as campervans staying on-site, will be directed to the vehicle camping area which is near registration.

Arrival before Saturday 9th is strictly by permission of your Director who has already provided an approved list of staff.

Please do not arrive earlier than you have been asked to arrive.

Coaches and minibuses filled with young people can be dropped off at their camp.

You will need a Camping Kit (K) parking permit displayed to be able to do this.

Coaches and minibuses will be sent onto site via the Bawburgh gate. Please follow the signage to your subcamp and abide by the one-way system.

This is strictly for coaches and minibuses filled with young people. No parents are allowed onsite and this is not for large groups of adults.

On Friday 8th:

There is an opportunity for groups to drop kit off on Friday 8th August from 5pm until 8pm.

You will need to display a Camping Kit (K) parking permit to be allowed on-site.

One mess tent can be erected to store your kit and there is strictly no camping allowed. Kit is left onsite at your own risk.

On Saturday 10th:

Cars that are delivering group kit to camping areas can drive onto their subcamp.

You will be sent onto site via the Bawburgh gate. Please follow the signage to your subcamp and abide by the one-way system.

You must display a Camping Kit (K) parking permit to be allowed to do this.

These vehicles will need to be unloaded and removed to the car park as soon as possible to allow a flow of traffic through the site.
