Battle of the Bands!
On Sunday night, we saw three acts battle it out in front of an excited crowd!
They all performed at The Royal Norfolk Show in June, competing against many others to be able to perform here, at Norjam 2025
Carly Harrison

At just 18, Carly is already a seasoned performer. Having first attended Norjam at age 11, she returned as a solo singer-songwriter with talent spanning vocals, keyboard, and guitar. Carly kindly gave us some time during her strict pre-show routine to share that she likes to listen to her own music to prepare, alongside enjoying her hair and beauty ritual. She draws inspiration from artists such as Dasha, Olivia Rodrigo, and Ariana Grande. She was, without a doubt, a showstopper!
Silhouettes

The dynamic brother duo packed a powerful punch with their post-grunge sound. Their performance stood out for exceptional drumming by Rupert and impressively strong vocals from Harry — proving that talent truly runs in the family.
Before the show, Harry bravely opened up about his lifelong struggle with chronic eczema. For Harry, being on stage and playing guitar is the only way he can momentarily “forget his troubles.”
Gourds

Your Battle of the Bands winners! Gourds brought wild energy and non-stop movement to the stage, earning the biggest crowd of the night. With the polish of a professional band, they delivered a chaotic, captivating set filled with stage presence, humour, and constant audience interaction.
Gourds only formed on Halloween last year, after watching a disappointing gig. They picked up a pumpkin, and just like that, their name was born! Musically, they’re inspired by the punk era, joking that “we’re like The Wiggles, but with electric guitars.”
