The seaside is calling!

Cromer Facts
Cromer is a small seaside town in the Poppyland region of North Norfolk perched on a cliff top. It is frequently one of the sunniest places in Britain!
Famous exports include turkeys, asparagus, saffron & samphire. A quarter of the UK’s wheat & barley and a third of the UK’s potatoes are from Norfolk!
Cromer Carnival is all about fun, fancy dress and amazing floats. Highlights include the grand parade, a party tent and a torchlit parade!
Cromer is known for its pier and blue flag beaches. The end of pier show is the only full-season end-of-pier show remaining in the world!

Caroline
I’ve been tasked with being Cromer Subcamp Media & Communications Team Leader – I think that’s because I talk lots to anyone and everyone!
I’m a Norjam Newbie, although I’ve been vicariously through my kids who have attended as Guides or Scouts.
I am Beavers Scout Lead Volunteer at the 43rd Saxlingham Nethergate Scout & Guide Group; I’ve been involved with the Cubs too.
My must-pack item for camping is a pack of glow sticks to mark my guy ropes (I have been known to trip!)
As camp food goes it has to be a bacon bap with HP sauce, and if there’s a cheesy slice to add, even better!
I’m really looking forward to getting to know my fellow Cromer sub-camp members and getting stuck into everything Norjam.

Charlie

Returning as part of the staff sub-camp team and helping our activity team.
This will be my 4th Norjam, each as staff (and my 17th jamboree!).
I am normally part of Lincolnshire’s Global Adventure activity support team, who will also be at Norjam.
My favourite food on camp is being able to justify eating bacon and eggs every day for breakfast.
I am looking forward to keeping all staff happy throughout the week, but if I need to, I will be cracking the whip ;-).
