The seaside is calling!

Cromer Facts
Cromer is a small seaside town in the Poppyland region of North Norfolk perched on a cliff top. It is frequently one of the sunniest places in Britain!
Famous exports include turkeys, asparagus, saffron & samphire. A quarter of the UK’s wheat & barley and a third of the UK’s potatoes are from Norfolk!
Cromer Carnival is all about fun, fancy dress and amazing floats. Highlights include the grand parade, a party tent and a torchlit parade!
Cromer is known for its pier and blue flag beaches. The end of pier show is the only full-season end-of-pier show remaining in the world!

Meet your Cromer Team
Your subcamp team is here to look after you and make sure you have the most awesome Norjam in 2025!

Nell
This will be my 7th Norjam! I’ve attended as a participant, a leader, supporting on it’s a knockout and more recently as Nicky’s extra brain.
Outside of Norjam I am a Guider for Rangers.
Must pack kit item? My pillow!
Favourite camp food? Smores!
I’m most looking forward to camping for a whole week!

Helen
I worked Staff Subcamp team last Norjam and have attended two previous Norjams as a participant as well as numerous other Jamborees as a Venture Scout.
I am a Beaver Scout Lead Volunteer for 1st Buxton Lammas.
Must pack kit item? Paddling pool to keep the drinks cold!
Favourite camp food? Bacon sandwich first thing in the morning.
I’m most looking forward to seeing how far “Clawed” travels at the Jamboree!

Caroline
I’m a Norjam Newbie, although I’ve been vicariously through my kids who have attended as Guides or Scouts.
I am Beavers Scout Lead Volunteer at the 43rd Saxlingham Nethergate Scout & Guide Group; I’ve been involved with the Cubs too.
My must-pack item for camping is a pack of glow sticks to mark my guy ropes (I have been known to trip!)
As camp food goes it has to be a bacon bap with HP sauce, and if there’s a cheesy slice to add, even better!
I’m really looking forward to getting to know my fellow Cromer sub-camp members and getting stuck into everything Norjam.

Charlie
I’ve been to two Norjams as a leader with rangers in 2010 and 2014. Loved both camps and missed being able to
I am a Guider for Rangers and a District Commissioner.
My must pack item? My pillow and warm blanket.
Favourite camp food? Hot chocolate and S’mores!
I’m most looking forward to camping in the sunshine for the week!

Rachel
I was at Norjam in 2010, 2014 and 2018!
I am an Assistant Guider.
My must-pack kit item? Sunscreen! 🎵🎶
Favourite camp food? Eggy bread!
I’m most looking forrward to meeting new people and downloading new memories to my brain!

Jim
This will be my third Norjam, my first I helped with a contingent and on It’s a Knockout and last time I was Media for the Staff Subcamp team!
I am an Assistant Leader for Rangers.
My must pack kit item? A portable battery pack!
Favourite camp food? Fry up!
I’m most looking forward to the sunshine (fingers crossed)!

Kim
This is my first Norjam as staff but I have attended as a participant (many years ago).
I was involved in Guiding for many years and am now a Scout parent.
Must pack kit item? Bottle opener!
Favourite camp food? S’mores!
I’m most looking forward to meeting lots of new people and immersing myself in the Norjam experience.

David
I’m returning as part of the staff subcamp team and helping our activity team!
This will be my 4th Norjam as staff and my 17th Jamboree!
I am normally part of Lincolnshire’s Global Adventure Activity Support Team, who will also be at Norjam.
My favourite food on camp is being able to justify eating bacon and eggs every day for breakfast.
I am looking forward to keeping all staff happy throughout the week, but if I need to, I will be cracking the whip 😉.

Cat
I’ve been on the Norjam staff subcamp team before!
My role is within Scouts Activities – the sky’s the limit!
Fave food? Jan’s cooking (all of it)!
I’m most looking forward to meeting up with everyone!

Vicky
My first Norjam was helping out on Staff Subcamp in 2018!
I am a Beaver leader with my local group and help run activities with Global Adventure.
Must pack kit item? It’s a tie between my head torch and my flip flops!
Favourite camp food? Doritos (that were supposed to be being used as fire lighters – oops!)
I’m most looking forward to chatting to all the amazing volunteers throughout the week over a cuppa and cracking out our carnival-worthy moves in the disco!
