We’re looking for under 18s to join our main stage team for our big opening and closing events.
For the rest of the time, you will be with your group enjoying the Jamboree as normal!
We’re looking for dancers and people of all abilities who would like to be part of the performance.
Alec Bussey Centre, Rowington Rd,
Norwich. NR1 3RR.
Please arrive for 1.15pm.
Session finishes at 3.30pm.
The information session is a good chance to meet the team and see if you would like to be a part of it!
We will run some choreography and movement and explain some of the options you can take part in.
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in!
If you are a dancer and have jazz shoes, please bring these with you too.
Don’t forget to bring a drink!
For this first session you are welcome to stay, if you are leaving your youngster (10+), we will need a form completed.
For our Sunday sessions moving forward we would expect you to leave them.
Your leaders do not need to attend unless they wish to.
Under 10s dependants would need a parent/carer to stay.
To register for the info afternoon please book your space by completing this form:

- The young person must be attending Norjam as a paid participant or dependent (aged 7+) and will camp and take part in the activities with their group and only join us for the opening and closing ceremonies.
- The commitment from September 2024 until July 2025 will be one Sunday afternoon a month for around 2 hours in Norwich. For those in the opening parade only it will be less than this.
- The young person must have all photo and video permissions in place including live streaming.
- April 2025 will be a slightly longer session as this will include a photo shoot session.
- July 2025 will include a family and friends preview event.
- Dance ability will vary, some will be easy, some more challenging but as we will have a mix of ages 7 up to adults we will tailor the roles to the ability of the young person – they do not need to dance to be in the production.
- There is no charge at all for any of the sessions or the preview event.
- All costumes needed to be borrowed (no costume charge or rehearsal charge)
- Main stage t-shirt (for those in a dance number when this is needed)
- There will be an option of purchasing the Main stage hoodie/zip up/t-shirt if you wish for one.
- Tights – as advised depending on the numbers (for dancers) plus black socks.
- Shoes – as advised depending on the numbers (likely to be Black Jazz shoes/alternatives for non-dancers).
- Flesh coloured undergarments (for those on stage).
- Make-up and hair accessories to have your hair/make up done (for those on stage).
- Black trainers (senior dance team only).
- Plain black leggings.
- Scouting/Guiding uniform if part of the opening parade.
- On the first Saturday you will be needed for a rehearsal in the afternoon.
- On the final Friday you will be needed for a rehearsal for the closing (if allocated roles in this – it will mean missing the final activity session, but you get to do this instead).
- If we have dependants (ages 7-9) we will be using them for mostly Cub and Brownie Days but also parts of the main opening and closing if they wish to take part.
