Roll up! Roll up! to Carnival Central
Roll up, roll up for carnival central at Norjam! 23 thrilling, challenging, and awe-inspiring activities await you and your new jamboree friends
From the coconut shy to stilt walking, silent disco to Lego, there’s something for everyone. This year, there are also many new activities, including curling lanes, a photo booth, and steel drums!

And of course, there are some golden oldies, like Punch and Judy, which is proving super popular — with over 40 young people watching on Sunday morning. “That’s the way to do it!”. There is such a buzz around the jamboree, excitement for the activities and wonder about what the week may hold. There really is a sense of fiesta. Olé!

For anyone seeking a quieter space, there is a chill and chat zone in the barns, with board games, puzzles, and buzz wires to name a few

We spoke to Ian from i.CIRCUS to find out why you should head there this week. He explained there are countless opportunities to learn new skills, enjoy the fresh air, and since it’s an open activity, you can come back again and again! The activities are inclusive, fun, and addictive! What will you take on? Maybe juggling, tightrope walking… or perhaps the most challenging of all i.CIRCUS skills — unicycling!
If you’ve ever looked at a pair of towering pole stilts and thought “I could do that” the 6ft challenge is here for you!

Organised with infectious enthusiasm by Andy from Stiff & Stilted, this spectacle is more than just a walk in the park… or, rather, above it! You will have seen the team at the opening ceremony, towering above us all during the show in their fluorescent outfits.
Competitors first prove their skills by mastering the pole stilts at a standard height. Those who succeed are invited to take on the main event: the mighty Six Feet Challenge.
The atmosphere is a mix of nerves, laughter, and support from the crowd, all encouraging each daring participant to keep their balance just a few steps more. In the end, it’s not just about walking six feet above the ground — it’s about walking tall.
Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a balance wizard, or just someone who loves a good challenge, stilt walking is proof that sometimes, the view really is better from the top. Go have a go, and be among the orange giants.
